Electrocardiography Part II - Basic Arrhythmia Recognition

More rhythms have been added - 67 rhythms in all!

Our software requires a Windows operating system and run from a hard drive or network drive.

All of the following rhythms can be put in motion by a simple mouse click!
  • Sinus Rhythms - Complete presentation of Normal Sinus Rhythm (NSR), Sinus Bradycardia, Sinus Tachycardia, Sinus Arrhythmia, and Sinoatrial (SA) Block. This section concludes with a rhythm recognition quiz on sinus rhythms.
  • Atrial Rhythms- Complete presentation of Premature Atrial Contraction (PAC), Paroxysmal Atrial Tachycardia (PAT), Atrial Flutter, and Atrial Fibrillation. This section concludes with a rhythm recognition quiz on atrial rhythms.
  • Junctional Rhythms - Complete presentation of Premature Junctional Contraction (PJC), Junctional Rhythm, and Junctional Tachycardia. This section concludes with a rhythm recognition quiz on junctional rhythms.
  • Ventricular Rhythms - Complete presentation of Unifocal Premature Ventricular Contractions (Unifocal PVCs), Multifocal Premature Ventricular Contractions (Multifocal PVCs), Ventricular Bigeminy, Ventricular Trigeminy, Ventricular Tachycardia, Ventricular Fibrillation, and Ventricular Asystole (Cardiac Standstill). This section concludes with a rhythm recognition quiz on ventricular rhythms.
  • Supraventricular Tachycardia (SVT) - Details the criteria that defines an SVT rhythm.
  • Disorders of Conduction - Complete presentation of First-Degree AV Block, Second-Degree AV Block: Mobitz I (Wenckebach), Second-Degree AV Block: Mobitz II, Third-Degree AV Block, Right Bundle Branch Block, Left Bundle Branch Block, and Pulseless Electrical Activity (PEA). This section concludes with a rhythm recognition quiz on heart blocks.
Comprehensive Rhythm Recognition Quiz: The Comprehensive Rhythm Recognition Quiz contains a rhythm bank of 67 rhythms obtained from all sections of Electrocardiography - Part II. The rhythms are generated in a randomized fashion and feedback is given for correct choices as well as incorrect choices. The user may leave the quiz at any time and view his/her score or continue until all 67 rhythms have been identified. This section features the option of printing a score report after completing the quiz.
